This is not unusual of course! Every decent business model is going to naturally have a whole load of competition, just like your recruitment desk.
The key element to Sunblink [which we are quite sure is a pretty big deal] is that we ARE recruiters. Not accountants, or investors, or HR nerds (okay, we have one HR nerd ;P) that have gathered together and decided to help launch recruiters.
We launched our own recruitment company in 2009, growing a successful international recruitment business up to the point that we were turning over millions of pounds a year.
After a decade of trading, the epiphany came hard that the nature of large agency recruitment companies was all wrong.
Our concept was to drop the archaic model of the recruitment agency as it no longer felt fair and progressive. Instead, the Sunblink project is about supporting great recruiters to launch and run their own companies; utilising our knowledge and expertise to get them through any and all challenges they face along the way and getting access to the best tools in the business that just wouldn’t be feasible or practical for a start-up or small business to buy into.
We fill in any gaps in knowledge across Marketing, HR, Payroll, Compliance, Accounting and Finance so that the recruiters we support can focus purely on what they do best.
Honestly, we’re chuffed with how it’s going – but we haven’t stopped engaging in our first love of recruitment; Pete is still fully plugged in to his Search desk and billing big like he’s always done.
Our finger remains firmly on the pulse of recruitment – both at home and globally, which we see as vital for us to be able to support and assist our partner companies. What good is advice and support from people that don’t still recruit?
