The Creativity of Ownership

Ownership is something that we talk about mainly in terms of motivation.

You know? Own that project, own that job, own that task.

Of course it’s true, you have that much more vested interest in completing a task, or doing well in a job if you have ownership of it. If your ideas and your work and your energy directly translates to your benefit.

However, something that is not necessarily expected or discussed is the creativity that ownership can bring about.

We have helped set up tonnes of recruiters on their own – and most claim at the start to have no real idea about what they want their brand, their imagery, logo, colour schemes and marketing material to look like.

But almost without exception, the ownership that they have in their own company, in their own product really unlocks a huge amount of untapped creativity!

And it is a beautiful thing, realising your vision. Having something that inspires and unlocks your creative side.

We are creative creatures by our very nature.

Starting your own business presents opportunities that you never have working for somebody else. The blueprint is yours to design – there are no rules! Your own culture. Your own message. Your own purpose. Your own branding.

A chance to let loose your inner artist.

Everyone is different, and it shows. The variety we see between the different businesses and recruitment entrepreneurs that we help launch is huge!

So if you currently work for someone else, wear the hat of someone else’s design, take a few minutes to sketch out your own brand. The company you would create.
